The name Kirra originates from the Australian Aboriginal language and means “wide, ocean” or “ocean wave.” It symbolizes the power, freedom, and endless energy of the sea — like waves that continuously renew themselves. Kirra is also the place where I first arrived in Australia and the place I now call home, making this piece a very personal tribute to the ocean, new beginnings, and the feeling of freedom that inspired SYSTR.
